Secret histories of Sofia
The cultural map of Sofia pins the best of unknown Sofia on a neat Google map: old houses, cool bars, old Sofians, undying habits, etc.
This is possibly the only English language web-space which can lead you to the old Jewish quarter in Yuch Bunar, or 'the Bells' (Kambanite) where 68 bells from all over the world were gathered in a pacifist monument. We are pleased to notice the cultural map of Sofia also features the athmospheric pub 'I came alone' (Sam doidoh), which lets you step into another time somewhere between the 1930s-70s, just 5 minutes from our hostel, in Tsar Samuil Street.
